Daisy Ozim Director Blockchain for Social Justice collective: Blockchain for Social Justice collective is a platform designed to promote education and access of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency for marginalized communities. Daisy has worked to support the inclusion of women in the blockchain ecosystem through her tireless advocacy efforts. She is a founding member of the Black Womens Blockchain Council, and advisor for SHEQ wallet, a cryptocurrency wallet specifically designed for women and is now working on statewide efforts to establish blockchain policy and education for economic development non-profits. Daisy hosts events to bring women together and educate them in order to diversify the blockchain space.

Jordan Davis Director of Business Development Tokensoft Jordan has spent the last 7 years of his career in financial services, specifically on the wealth planning for high net worth individuals. Most recently, he served as a VP at Fidelity Investments where he was responsible for over $500M of client assets. In May of this year, he transitioned to TokenSoft to help develop and expand TokenSoft’s scope of business relationships and partnerships. TokenSoft is a technology platform that enables small businesses, enterprises, and institutions to meet compliance requirements for blockchain-based securities at issuance, distribution and exchange. TokenSoft enables it’s clients to meet banking, securities and tax requirements in over 50 countries. Current and past clients include Hedera Hashgraph, The Tezos Foundation, Andra Capital, and 19 other global fundraising projects.

Corey Harris Growth Manager Dispatch.io:  Corey is the Growth Manager for Dispatch (dispatchlabs.io) and leads their growth marketing strategy. Dispatch is a DLT platform for creating data-centric smart contracts for B2B enterprise businesses. Before joining Dispatch, he cofounded, Blackchain, a tech education platform, where he discusses tokenomics, distributed network history, blockchain infrastructural issues and consensus models’ impact on distributed network platforms’ adoption. He is an avid blogger (coreyaharris.com) who writes about tokenomics and how to create effective token incentive models. He views distributed network technologies like Blockchain, DAG, and IPFS as the next wave of new economic theory.

John Cooper COO Abelian Technologies John Cooper has a wide range of leadership and business development experience. With a masters, in economics he has developed a penchant for economic modeling and quantitative research. In his last role, helped a start up grow from a team of 4 and $200k annual revenue, to a team of 20+ and a projected revenue of $3M in under 2 years. John built his first bitcoin mining rig back in 2011 and has been researching and following the cryptocurrency space since that time.

Ronak Pakzad Partner Entoro Capital, a technology enabled global investment bank, advising and investing in cryptoassets and digital securities. Prior to Entoro, Ronak spent a decade working as an executive in securities and fund management at Morgan Stanley, ATEL Capital Group and led product management for Deutsche bank’s retail REIT division. Ronak is passionate about female empowerment initiatives and sits on the board of Femigrants.org and a member of 100 women in finance. As an engineer by training, she’s dedicated to applying her technical skills coupled with the decade long experience in banking to help reshape financial services and transfer of value as we know it.

MODERATOR: Pierre-R. Wolff VP Tierion Pierre is a 20+ year veteran of Silicon Valley as a business strategist, startup advisor/mentor, and people-connector in the tech industry. At Tierion, a company that has developed a “proof engine” leveraging a decentralized network of nodes for time-stamping and anchoring digital content on the Bitcoin Blockchain, Pierre runs business development after having been an advisor there for two years. Pierre is also a Managing Director at ExecConnect, a consultancy where he focuses on helping financial and technology companies better understand the blockchain and cryptocurrency related ecosystems. In addition to advising several startups, he is an advisor to Science Blockchain, a Santa Monica-based blockchain-focused incubator that raised a venture fund using a registered security token offering in November 2017. When not in his day job, Pierre is a regular participant at various blockchain and cryptocurrency events as a moderator or panelist, discussing regulatory, business model, and technology suitability issues.

Scott Walker, SEC: Scott is a member of the Distributed Ledger Technology Working Group. His primary focus is on Investment Advisers and Investment Companies. Prior to his work as a regulator, Scott was a Corporate Counsel at Barclays and BlackRock. Before joining the Commission, Scott’s practice focused on Derivatives and Securities Finance transactions, and Hedge Fund Strategy. Scott earned his J.D. from Mortiz College of Law at the Ohio State University in 2007.

Katherine Wu, Messari: Katherine Wu is the Director of Business Development and Community Management at Messari, a New York-based crypto startup aimed at promoting transparency and smarter decision-making in the cryptoasset industry. Prior to Messari, Katherine has worked at Bank of China, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bank of America, and the U.S. State Department. Katherine holds a J.D. law degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a B.A. in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University. She grew up moving between in Hong Kong and mainland China and has native fluency in Mandarin Chinese.

Tony Lai, Legal.io: Tony is a Silicon Valley based entrepreneur and legal informatics researcher at Stanford Law School, where he co-chairs the Blockchain Group. As the CEO and Co-Founder of Legal.io, Tony leads a team of lawyers, engineers, and designers building and deploying A.I., blockchain, and customer experience solutions for the legal industry. Prior to his time in Silicon Valley, Tony practiced law for 5 years in the London and Hong Kong offices of Herbert Smith, advising companies, public sector bodies and charities on regulatory, transactional and IP issues. In 2017, Tony was appointed for a 3 year term to the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on the Delivery of Legal Services. Tony holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Oxford University, and graduated from Stanford University with a Masters in Law, Science and Technology.

Carla Carriveau, Circle: Carla is a Securities & Regulatory Affairs attorney & former Senior Counsel SEC. She currently serves as Senior Managing Counsel at a robo-advisor in Redwood City, California. Carla was previously Senior Counsel at the United States Securities and Exchange Commission serving in a number of capacities including as a top government affairs aide to former SEC Chair Mary Jo White. During her tenure with the SEC, she led teams in the FinTech space with respect to policy, rulemakings, and market operations and advised as to the potential application of securities regulations to virtual currency.

Moderator Adam Juratovac, Juratovac Law: Adam S. Juratovac is an attorney at Juratovac Law and represents emerging companies and entrepreneurs in the Silicon Valley. He has successfully championed for causes such as entrepreneurs rights and fair pay in addition to helping guide entrepreneurs in emerging industries. Prior to his career in law, he worked at CLEVER in the social media industry. He built the brands of over 100 professional athletes and celebrities leading to successful brand partnerships. His book, Student-Athletes And Social Media, continues to be the standard in digital branding at athletics departments. He is currently the NCAA’s Subject Matter Expert on Social Media. Adam J’s roots run deep in Palo Alto. He is a board member of two Palo Alto non-profits, My Digital TAT2 and Magical Bridge Foundation, in addition to being a football coach at Menlo-Atherton High School.

P.P.S. Narayan (also known as PPSN) is a technology executive with more than 20 years of experience in software engineering, distributed and large scale systems. Until recently, PPSN held various leadership positions at Yahoo and Oath/Verizon, where he led teams that built much of Yahoo Video platforms and Cloud services. Namely, encoding, players/sdks, video AI/ML, structured and unstructured storage, user data, pub-sub messaging, serving and the edge. He was also the head of Systems Research at Yahoo Labs for part of his tenure. Prior to Yahoo, PPSN spent 10 years at Bell Labs Research where he led research and development in areas such as databases, query processing, network management and discovery, and geo-fencing for location based services. PPSN holds a bachelor’s and masters degree in Computer Science and Engineering. He has co-authored multiple publications in top-tier database conferences and holds patents in many areas across databases, network management, storage, and video. These days, he is mentoring, providing consultations, advising and blogging about all matters technology and products, including blockchains.

Professor Emin Gun Sirer is the co-founder and Chief Scientist at bloXroute Labs, a venture backed team of Professors and PhDs from Cornell and Northwestern Universities that are developing networking solutions to solve the blockchain scalability problem at Layer-0. Prof. Sirer is also the Associate Professor and Co-Director of the Initiative for Cryptocurrencies and Smart Contracts (IC3) at Cornell University. He has played pivotal roles in characterizing the Nakamoto consensus and the DAO detection and aftermath, and is the inventor of the Falcon backbone relay network which has been operational in the Bitcoin network since April 2016.
